We are seeking a Chief Distribution Officer (CDO) who will spearhead the development of strategic distribution channels that enhance the market presence and penetration of our portfolio companies. The CDO will be instrumental in building both online and offline channels, optimizing logistics, and ensuring that products and services of our startups reach their target markets effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribution Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive distribution strategies that align with the business goals of our portfolio companies.
- Channel Development: Identify, develop, and optimize both online and offline distribution channels to maximize reach and efficiency.
- Partnership Management: Forge strategic partnerships with key players in the distribution landscape to enhance capabilities and expand market coverage.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee logistics operations including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management to streamline costs and improve service delivery.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a distribution team capable of executing strategies and achieving distribution KPIs.
- Market Expansion: Conduct market research to identify new market opportunities and develop entry strategies.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance the distribution framework, making use of advanced analytics, CRM systems, and ERP solutions.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of distribution strategies and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior distribution role, preferably as a CDO or similar, with a proven track record in developing effective distribution networks.
- Extensive knowledge of the distribution and logistics landscape, both offline and online, including international shipping and regulatory environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and direct a dynamic team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of logistics software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
